ZAGREB, 1 Nov (Hina) - Croatian Physical Planning, Construction, and State Assets Minister Branko Bačić has issued a public call for financial support for projects aimed at encouraging the return of Croats and creating sustainable living conditions in Bosnia and Herzegovina this year.

The support for each project cannot exceed €70,000, and municipalities and towns in BiH, municipally-owned utility companies, non-profit public institutions, businesses, family farms, educational and scientific institutions, as well as healthcare facilities are eligible to apply.

Applicants must be registered and operate within BiH, promoting the interests and protection of Croats in BiH. To compete for funding, they must submit their applications by the middle of this month.

Croatia is prepared to financially support projects in the fields of the economy, public administration, healthcare, infrastructure, education, youth, demography, sports, and culture, as well as initiatives from associations, the Church, and projects aimed at improving quality of life.

Minister Bačić issued this call based on the assistance programme for the return of Croats to BiH, conducted by his ministry in coordination with Croatia's Foreign Ministry the Central State Office for Croats Abroad.

This year, €1.3 million has been allocated in the state budget to implement the programme.
