ZAGREB, 17 Oct (Hina) - A two-day conference on the repercussions of the fall of medieval Bosnian Kingdom into Ottoman hands in 1463 will be held in Mostar next week, the organisers told a news conference in that southern city on Thursday.

This scientific conference  is being organised to mark the 600th anniversary of the birth of the last Bosnian queen, Catherine of Bosnia, that is Katarina Kosača, (1424/1425 – 25 October 1478), who was the Queen of Bosnia as the wife of King Thomas, said Miroslav Landeka of the "Napredak" cultural society that is organising this event.

The two-day conference will bring together  29 scientists and researchers from several countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Hungary and Germany.

The dean of the faculty of humanities in Mostar, Dražen Barbarić, told the news conference that the event will pay attention to understanding the identity of BiH. Materials from BiH, Montenegrin and Turkish archives will be used.
