Burić recently won with his application the first place in a competition of 2,000 start-ups organised by Bayern Media Lab, after which German media called him "the Robin Hood of books".
The application teaches children about the world of nature, ecology and sustainable development and other interesting topics and makes it possible for them to create their own stories.
With the application children can create more than 250,000 fairy tales, read existing fairy tales, as well as listen to them as audio books. The application also contains a large database of original Mello stories which is updated by four authors, who add 20-30 new stories on a weekly basis.
The Tales of Mello application for Android devices will be available as of 26 June, and in the coming period it will be made available for the iOS system as well.
All content in the application is currently in Croatian, English and German, and more world languages are to be added soon.
