"It is a unique event, considering that nowhere outside the United States is there an event dedicated to a profession without which some of the greatest films would not be what they are," the organisers said.
Attractive action scenes that viewers are used to watching on the small or big screen will take place right before their eyes. Stunt performers will demonstrate their stunts such as jumps from a height, burning, choreographed fights, falls and motor vehicle stunts. They will also speak about how to become a stunt performer and what their life looks like.
All stunts will be performed by trained professionals. Seventeen stunt performers will take part in the festival, and awards will be presented for best stunts in the male and female categories.
Three-time winner of the Taurus world stunt award Carl Stück from Germany, stunt coordinator and action producer Rok Cvetkov from Slovenia, stunt coordinator and assistant director of action films Darko Tuškan, and stunt coordinator and actor Goran Stjepanović from Croatia will participate in the festival. Together with director Kristijan Milić, they will make up the jury that will decide on the awards.
The festival is organised by Edison Cinema from Karlovac and stunt performer Željko Matovina, and is sponsored by the City of Karlovac, Karlovac County and the Karlovac Tourist Board.
