The findings presented on Thursday were part of a large-scale survey conducted in 2023 by the pollster Alma Career Croatia among 25,000 respondents.
The best employer is Valamar Riviera, according to the opinion of respondents. This company employs over 7,000 people during the tourist season. Maistra ranks second and Globalna Hrana, which is behind the McDonalds fast food chain, ranks third.
Zagreb City Hotels, that is Hilton hotels in Zagreb, Aminess, Victus Grupa, the Plava Laguna group, Arena Hospitality, Solaris, and Esplanade Oleander make the top ten employers in this sector.
One in two respondents praised these ten companies for good interpersonal relations among the staff, 47% cited opportunities for promotion as the reason for considering them desirable employers, while 42% of the respondents also mentioned good treatment by superiors.
