The life and work of Ivana Brlić Mažuranić, who was nominated twice for the Nobel Prize, are part the life of Slavonski Brod. Participants in the tour on 14 January could hear interesting facts about the famous Brlić family, see the renovated house where the writer lived and created, and hear details about the main town square that bears her name.
The events in January are also an introduction to a year-long program that the people of Slavonski Brod devised to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Brlić Mažuranić's birth.
ZAGREB, 14 Jan (Hina) - On the occasion of the International Recognition Day of Croatia and the 150th anniversary of the birth of Croatian children's writer Ivana Brlić Mažuranić, a series of events in Slavonski Brod will begin with an organised tourist tour of the city, and the main theme will be the writer's life and work.
