There were 64,715 members of the Croatian Hunting Association (HLS) and associate hunters who were registered with the HLS, but were not members, which is an increase of 1.8%. The number of hunters-in-training (future hunters) rose by 5.5% from 2021 to 687.
In 2022, compared with 2021, deer hunting increased by 11.3% , with 7,080 animals shot, while the number of roe deer shot fell by 0.4% to 17,879.

Rabbit hunting remained at approximately the same level as in 2021, with 27,000 animals killed, while pheasant hunting increased by 8.2% to 66,000 animals shot.
Waterfowl hunting declined by 1.7%, to 58,000 animals shot, and the hunting of other feathered game was down by 4.3%, to 66,000.
