Obuljen Koržinek said she was pleased to see that life has returned to normal after the COVID-19 pandemic and that people can again visit museums and other cultural institutions in person and not just online.
She said that after the 2020 earthquake the Croatian History Museum, the Museum of Naive Art and many of the museums within the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts would be restored.
Mayor Tomislav Tomašević said that the Museum Night was one of the most popular cultural events in Croatia. He thanked the Ministry of Culture and Media for cooperation in the full reconstruction of the city museums damaged in the earthquake.
This year the main theme of the Museum Night is the important role of museums in the community. A total of 184 museums and other institutions across the country are participating in the event, with 449 programmes, 100 exhibitions, 43 workshops, 31 music programmes, 31 lectures, 16 playrooms and 16 screenings.
