This is the 25th edition of the Viroexpo after an almost three-year break caused by the coronavirus epidemic.
The event, to last until Sunday, was opened by Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, who announced the continuation of the construction of an expressway to Bjelovar and from Bjelovar to Virovitica. This road will give a completely new dimension to the development of the city, said Plenković.
The fair is being held under the auspices of the government, the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
It was organised by Virovitica-Podravina County, the City of Virovitica, the Virovitica County Chamber of Commerce, the county chamber of crafts and tourism board.
The partner county of this year's fair is Koprivnica-Križevci County, and the economic partner is the Hrvatske Šume forest management company.
