This Croatian coastal county and the central Bulgarian province will develop their cooperation in the sectors of economy, agriculture, culture, higher education and other sectors.
"We share European values and I am convinced that we will develop an active cooperation," County Prefect Branimir Longin said at the ceremony in Zadar.
The head of Plovdiv Province, Yordan Ivanov, said that the document paved the way for the intensification of bilateral relations.
This is the seventh foreign region with which Zadar County has signed a memorandum of cooperation. The other six are the Czech South Moravian Region, Slovakia's Trnava, Hungary's Baranya County, Poland's Podkarpackie, Italy's Veneto region and the Chinese Hainan.
