Croatia logs 151 new coronavirus cases, 46 deaths

ZAGREB, 26 Dec (Hina) - Croatia has registered 151 new coronavirus cases after 1,037 people have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the last 24 hours, as well as 46 COVID-related deaths, the national coronavirus response team reported on Sunday.

The number of active cases in the country currently stands at 19,171. Among them are 1,824 infected people receiving hospital treatment, of whom 267 are on ventilators, and 17,875 people are self-isolating.

Since 25 February 2020, when the first case was confirmed in the country, 693,253 people have been registered as having contracted the new virus, of whom 12,325 have died and 661,757 have recovered, including 2,785 in the last 24 hours.

As of Saturday, 4,646,841 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered, with 55.48 per cent of the total population, or 66.12 per cent of the adult population, having been vaccinated.

A total of 2.25 million people have received at least one dose and 2.1 million have been fully vaccinated, which is 62.41 per cent of the adult population.
