Gross value added in 2020 is estimated at HRK 9.45 billion, an increase of 12.3% compared with 2019 when it amounted to HRK 8.4 billion.
Labour input remained the same as in 2019, while the index of real income in agriculture per annual work unit is estimated at HRK 60,237, up by 15.4%. Allowances for employees in 2020 are projected at HRK 1.06 billion, which is a year-on-year increase of 5.8%, DZS said.
Commenting on the data, Agriculture Minister Marija Vučković said on Monday that the results reflected efforts invested by farmers, fishermen and forest workers and local consumer preferring domestic products.
Even though Croatia's agriculture is vulnerable, we are heading in the right direction, said Vučković.
