In normal circumstances the meet would sell up to 10,000 seats while this year only 700 tickets will be up for sale and there will not be any special or VIP tickets. Tickets will be sold for a price of 100, 75 and 50 kuna from 10 to 15 September, the meet's organisers said on Tuesday.
Athletics fans will be given an opportunity to buy a ticket for the meet while special tickets will not be available to athletic clubs, athletes, sponsors or special reservations and the rule is one spectator can purchase two tickets at the most.
The shot put competition will be held on September 14 next to the city fountains and National and University Library but without spectators. However, the all the events within the Memorial will be televised live in 70 countries around the world.
