HUP: EU funds managers say Croatia can be satisfied with its share from EU funds

ZAGREB, July 22 (Hina) - The association of EU funds managers within the Croatian Employers' Association (HUP) said on Wednesday that Croatia could be more than satisfied with what would be put at its disposal  under the EU recovery plan and the multiannual budget.

The sectorial association called "Professionals for EU funds" says that the amount of 22 billion euros which is made available to Croatia over a period of seven years "is a strong lever that should be fully used through good projects and applications."

The association's chairwoman Ana Fresl was quoted in a press release as calling for making also all other funds available as soon as possible as measures to help the economy in the post-corona crisis period.

Croatia is eligible to tap €12.6 billion from the Multiannual Financial Framework and an additional €9.4 billion from the NextGenerationEU instrument. Of the latter amount, slightly over 5.4 billion can be disbursed as grants and 2.35 billion as loans.
