Polish flag carrier to resume flights to Croatia as of July 1

ZAGREB, June 22 (Hina) - Polish national airline PLL LOT again flies to Croatia as of July 1, the head of the Croatian Tourism Board (HTZ) office in Poland, Agnieszka Puszczewicz, said on Monday.

"We are continually working on creating new motives for Polish tourists to visit Croatia and LOT, which has been a strategic partner to HTZ over the past few years, is helping us considerably. Our joint promotional campaigns on the Polish market have been very well noticed and we are hoping for this successful cooperation to continue," Puszczewicz said according to a press release issued by HTZ.

LOT will fly from Warsaw to Split and Dubrovnik twice a week and to Zadar once a week. This flight schedule will be in force in the first two weeks of July, after which the number of flights and destinations may increase.

HTZ director Kristjan Stanicic said that the news of LOT resuming its flight services to Croatia was encouraging given that Poland has been among the top five source markets for the Croatian tourism industry for years.

LOT will also connect Budapest and Dubrovnik as of July, which will make tourist destinations in southern Croatia even more accessible to Hungarian holidaymakers, the head of the HTZ office in Hungary, Ivana Herceg, was quoted as saying.
