Zagreb Stock Exchange, Inc. (hereinafter: the Company) with its registered office in Zagreb, Ivana Lučića 2a/22, VAT ID No. (OIB): 84368186611, hereby informs the public of up-to-date information regarding the impact of COVID-19 on the Company's operations.
The first two days of the past week were marked by exceptionally favorable trade indicators; daily turnover exceeded HRK 35 million, CROBEX reached the highest weekly value of 1,654.13, and in total it increased by about 6% compared to the closing value the week before. In the rest of the trading week, daily turnover approached the January average, while CROBEX values did not go beyond ± 1%. Overall, the past trading week has been characterized by very optimistic statistics. In the period from 6 to 9 April 2020, the average daily securities trading amounted to slightly less than HRK 23 million, which is approximately HRK 7 million or 42.6% more than in the week before, and as much as HRK 13.6 million or 146% more than in January 2020, the last month in which trading was unaffected by COVID-19. The CROBEX index closed at 1,584.49, up 5.28% from the week before. Equity market capitalization followed this growth, it increased by just over
HRK 4.5 billion or 3.6% from last week and now stands at almost HRK 131 billion.
The Company enters its fifth week of out-of-office work, but the business continues to operate regularly at secondary locations. In addition to its daily operations, the Company will continue to monitor the development of the current state of emergency and inform the investment public of the impact of COVID19 on its business activities.
