Health Minister Vili Beros told a news conference that the man had been an oncology patient before contracting the virus.
The crisis management team that had been holding news conferences twice a day since the outbreak of the disease said at the conference on Thursday afternoon that there were 14 new cases since this morning.
Thus in the last 24 hours, the number of the Croatians diagnosed with COVID-15 rose by 53 to 495 . Of them, eight are currently on ventilators and 70 have been hospitalised.
The minister said that measures to curb the disease were yielding certain results.
