A member of the management board of the Algebra educational company, Hrvoje Balen, called for more tax breaks for developers and IT companies in Croatia in a bid to keep local talented developers and IT specialists in the country.
Balen said that currently there were some 10,000 developers hired in Croatia, and he proposed the opening of educational institutions' doors to foreign students. He went on to say that the Zagreb-based Algebra has currently 40 foreign students enrolled in its programmes.
The director of the conference, Dragan Petric, said that the conference was the biggest gathering of developers in Croatia.
