ZAGREB, Sept 10 (Hina) - Croatia's Josip Kuna on Monday won the bronze medal in the 300 metre rifle from the prone position in the World Championships that are taking place in the South Korean city of Changwon from 2 to 14 September.

This is the best result in the career of this 46-year-old man from the eastern Croatian city of Osijek.

The gold medal in the 300 metre rifle from the prone position was grabbed 55-year-old Slovenian Rajmond Debevc, and the silver went to Polish shooter Daniel Romanczyk.

This has been the most successful competition for Croatia's sports shooters national team, with a tally of five medals.

Croatia's Petar Gorsa and Miran Maricic won the silver and the bronze in the ISSF 10 meter air rifle, and Gorsa also bagged the silver in the 50 metre rifle three positions.

Croatia's Snjezana Pejcic won the bronze in 50 m rifle 3 positions for women..

These successes at the 52nd ISSF World Shooting Championships in Changwon have enabled Croatia to have at least two sports shooters in the male competition and one in the female competition in the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.
