ISABS president Dragan Primorac, a former Croatian minister and a prominent researcher, said that this event marked the start of cooperation with leading scientists in forensic science.
ISABS is a non-profit organization founded to promote, enhance and extend research, development and education in molecular biology as applied to clinical and molecular medicine, focusing on, but not limited to, molecular genetics, genomics, proteomics, forensic and anthropological genetics, and biotechnology.
The American Academy of Forensic Sciences is a multi-disciplinary professional organization that provides leadership to advance science and its application to the legal system. The objectives of the Academy are to promote professionalism, integrity, competency, education, foster research, improve practice, and encourage collaboration in the forensic sciences, AAFSA said on its web site.
An AFFS delegation will participate in the 9th ISABS conference, scheduled for 22-26 June on the Croatian island of Brac.
On Monday, President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic received delegations of the above-mentioned forensic associations.
